These instructions relate to Outlook 2010 but should be similar for Outlook 2013 and 2016. The instructions assume that IMAP, rather than POP3, is required (POP3 will have different port settings).

To add and new IMAP account:

Open Outlook and click on the File tab.

Click on the Account Settings button and select Account Settings:

Click New… and the Add New Account box will be displayed:

Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click the Next > button.

Leave Internet E-mail selected and click the Next > button.

Enter Your Name and E-mail Address.

Set the Account Type to be IMAP.

Enter the email address.

Ensure that the Incoming mail server is
Ensure that the Outgoing mail server is

All usernames are the email address.

Click on the More Settings… button to display the Internet E-mail Settings box and then click the Outgoing Server tab:

Ensure that My outgoing server (SMPT) requires authentication is checked and Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.

Click the Advanced tab.

Ensure that:
Incoming server (IMAP) (if you are using IMAP) is set to 993
Use the following type of encryption connection is set to SSL
Outgoing server (SMTP) is set to 465
Use the following type of encryption connection is set to SSL

Once these are set, click OK to close the box.

Click the Next > button.

Outlook will test the Account Settings and you should get two ticks.

Click the Finish button to close the box.

Click Close to close the Account Settings box.

Your account should now be configured.
